ASCAP

How to get the data:

  • Log in to ASCAP
  • Click "Earnings" from the left hand menu and then "Statements"
  • There are two types of reports ASCAP provides, Domestic and International. Click the "CSV " link to download the data file you require.

Importing into IC:

  • In IC, navigate to Royalties -> Data Imports.
  • For Domestic files, use ASCAP Publisher
  • For International, use ASCAP Publisher (International)
  • Both importers require the timestamp and paid timestamp to be entered manually. Use the month and year of the report as listed on the ASCAP statement page, and any day in that month (we often use the 15th as a default).
  • For example, a file that is named "August 2020" would have a timestamp and paid timestamp of 8/15/20.

Please note - our ASCAP importers do not map transactions listed as "COLLECTED-BY-OTHER" in the "Role Type" column, as these transactions are included in ASCAP reporting but representative of royalties that are being collected by a different publishing entity - and therefore are not included in the remittance for that reporting. If your ASCAP reporting shows "No Transactions" or has a different total within IC than in the reporting itself, please be sure to check for "COLLECTED-BY-OTHER" transactions in the reporting data.
