Why don't I see all of my streaming royalties?

We calculate royalties based on when the payouts for the streaming transactions were received by your, or your label's, distributor. As there is often a months-long lag between when the stream occurs, to when the DSP (digital service provider, such as Apple Music) reports the stream to a distributor, to when the distributor finally reports these transactions and pays out royalties to labels or independent artists, it is most common that royalties for streaming transactions begin to be paid out several months after releases hit DSPs.

You can easily track these dates in IC using the timestamp and paid timestamp of transactions - the Timestamp in IC is used to track the date of the transaction (purchase, stream) - whereas the Paid Timestamp is representative of when the actual royalty payout for the transaction occurred.

In addition - it is important to note that streaming rates are variable between DSPs, so it can be the case that a high quantity of streams from one DSP amounts to a smaller royalty amount than a lower quantity of streams from another DSP.
