Tunecore

How to get the data:

  • Log in to TuneCore
  • Navigate to Money & Analytics -> Sales Report
  • Select "Download Monthly Sales Reports" in the top-right corner and click the "By Reporting Period" tab
  • Click the file name for the desired month to download the CSV file for and the tunecore-musicsales-reporting_period.csv report for the corresponding month will be delivered to you
  • For Tunecore Publishing, download the Publishing Royalties Report CSV file reported quarterly

Importing into IC:

  • In IC, navigate to Royalties -> Data Imports.
  • Select the Tunecore importer from the dropdown menu
  • Choose the desired monthly file and click Submit
  • For Tunecore Publishing reports, select the Tunecore Publishing importer. Please note - the Tunecore Publishing importer requires the timestamp and paid timestamp to be entered manually. Use the ending month of the quarter reported for the timestamp (for example, 2022Q1 data would have a paid timestamp month of March 2022, and any day that month - we often use the 15th as a default). Use the date that the payout was made to you from your distributor as the paid timestamp.

Note: If you have been using Sales Period reports instead of Reporting Period reports in your previous accounting, contact Support before importing your Tunecore data to IC.
