Migrating from Curve to Infinite Catalog

The migration from Curve to Infinite Catalog is simple and straightforward, and runs parallel to our standard catalog onboarding processes. Follow the instructions detailed below to transfer your catalog and accountancy picture into IC from Curve.

  • First, you'll want to start by importing the data you've yet to account for in Curve into your IC catalog.
    • For example - if your last round in Curve was 2025H2, you'll want to begin by importing your 2026H1 reporting into IC, starting with your most recent statement (we recommend your most recent statement containing digital distribution royalties).

In IC, your catalog is automatically built by simply importing data - but if you prefer to keep your catalog's metadata exactly as it appears in Curve, we've also got a helpful Catalog Import tool which can be used in conjunction with a Curve catalog export to easily get your catalog set up prior to importing data.

  • Next, you'll want to transfer your contracts over from Curve, and we've got some helpful documentation here reviewing this process in great detail.
    • If your splits are relatively standardized (i.e. 50/50 across the entire catalog), we also offer tools such as our Default Contracts tool to easily automate contract creation within IC as an alternative to contract migration.
  • Once you've got your royalty reporting imported and your catalog set up with contracts, you'll want to reference your ending balances from your last royalty round in Curve (these can be found on your payees' latest statements) in order to migrate your payees' Starting Balances into IC by following the instructions here.
    • For example - if a payee's share was -500 in recoupment at the end of 2025H2, you'll want to enter a Starting Balance attributed to that payee for a total of -500 to ensure that their balance is seamlessly carried over into IC.
  • Finally, you'll want to enter all Additional transactions (i.e. expenses, income, advances) for your current royalty round that have yet to be accounted for, and we've got some helpful bulk and individual transaction creation tools as detailed here which will help streamline this process during your onboarding + future royalty rounds.

Once your contracts and starting balances have been migrated from Curve, and your catalog has been set up via the onboarding processes detailed above, you'll be ready to take the next steps of running your first royalty Period and generating statements within IC - and we've got more helpful information here to help you cross the finish line! Of course, if you have any questions or concerns along the way, our Support team is always here to lend a hand.
